Introducing Marketing Ops Appreciation Day

Marketing operations professionals are the unsung heroes of marketing teams. Whether they work for a Fortune 100 company or make up the entire marketing department at their small business, they're responsible for creating a well-oiled marketing machine that drives outsized impact. We know this firsthand: Zapier's marketing ops team is key to our success. 

Our marketing ops team is responsible for everything from lead management to data cleaning to lead routing and beyond. They use automation to streamline their workflows, send alerts, clean data, reduce errors, and test proofs of concept. From the outside looking in, it's magic.

But this work commonly happens behind the scenes, which often means the hard work of marketing ops professionals can often be underrecognized.  

That's why we've officially launched Marketing Ops Appreciation Day on April 11: an annual celebration of the hardworking professionals that are the backbone of marketing teams everywhere. Today, we encourage you to celebrate the MOps professionals in your life—whether it's sending them a card, taking them to lunch, or just letting them know how much you appreciate them. 

As part of this celebration, we're also launching the first-ever Marketing Ops Awards. These awards will celebrate the top professionals in the industry and shine a light on their accomplishments. 

The award application is open to professionals working in marketing operations, CRM operations, email operations, revenue operations, or folks who have similar roles or responsibilities. To nominate yourself or a colleague, please complete this short form by May 11. Winners will be profiled on the Zapier blog!
