Zapier's newest product features: June 2023

Now you have more account management and optimization tools inside Zapier.

Collage of new features in Zapier. Clockwise from left to right: search by folder name, remove members, bulk change Zap ownership, test records, and polling intervals.

When it comes to automation, there's no one-size-fits-all solution. That's why you need customizable controls that allow you to manage your organization's workflows, your way. And as more teams turn to Zapier to solve their problems, we've been busy building the features that empower you to do exactly that.

From re-assigning Zaps in bulk to customizing polling intervals, here's an overview of our newest suite of features.

Transition workflows with ease

As your team evolves, it's critical to efficiently manage your Zaps at scale. That's why we've added new capabilities that allow you to seamlessly review and transfer your business-critical Zaps so you can set teams up with the Zaps they need (and don't need), faster.

Bulk change Zap ownership

Let's say you want to move a handful of Zaps to a new owner. With bulk change options, account Owners and Super Admins can now re-assign multiple Zaps at once, making it easier to manage Zaps across teams and keep workflows running smoothly.

Ready to make some transfers? Head to your Zaps to get started.

Tip: Check out our support guide on how to change ownership of shared Zaps for more information.

Remove members from your account

There are a lot of loose ends to tie up when an employee leaves your organization. But with a long checklist of to-do's, it's easy to forget certain tasks like transferring their Zaps to another user.

We're here to help you take a mental load off. Before you offboard a member from your Zapier account, we'll now let you know which Zaps might be affected. This way, you can decide what to do with their private Zaps and connected apps (transfer ownership or move them to a shared folder), so you can prevent disruptions to your workflows.

If you're the account Owner or Super Admin, go to your Members page to begin the offboarding process.

Optimize your Zaps, your way

Automated workflows are only as powerful as their customization options. That's why we're giving users another advanced Zap setting, so you have even more control over how and when your Zaps run.

Polling intervals

By default, Zap polling triggers check for new information every minute. But what if your complex Zaps need more time before fetching new data?

With polling intervals, Super Admins on a Company plan can now customize how frequently polling triggers run (between one to 15 minutes), so you can minimize unnecessary API requests and give long-running processes enough time to complete between polls.

Try it for yourself. Open one of your Zaps to customize your polling intervals.

Tip: Check out our support guide to learn how to customize your Zaps with polling intervals.

Test records

When you first create a Zap, we'll automatically pull data from your trigger app that you can use as a test record. But let's say you want to use a different record. With test record selection, you can now search your records to find the right record to test, giving you peace of mind that your automated workflows will run exactly as planned.

Ready to make testing workflows easier? Head over to your Zaps and get started.

Eliminate the guessing game

When your team's creating a lot of Zaps, it's easy to lose track of things. That's why we've added two new features to make organizing and managing your account easier.

Search by folder name

Search bar on Zaps page with a dropdown of search options: all, folder, and Zap.

Imagine this: You need to copy a teammate's public Zap. You don't know what it's called, but you know which team folder it belongs to. Or maybe it's the other way around.

Instead of playing the guessing game, you can now search for Zaps and folders—including subfolders—by name, allowing you to quickly find what you need.

Need to find a Zap? Head to your Zaps to use the updated search function.

Tip: Check out our support guide on how to search for Zaps and folders for more information.

Empowering cross-collaboration across teams big and small

There you have it: five new features that make account management and cross-collaboration seamless and secure.

Whether you've been eager to reorganize your account or you're after an easier way to build more Zaps with your team, we hope you benefit from these latest features.

P.S. That's not all we've built. We're also hard at work bringing AI capabilities to all of your workflows. Visit zapier.com/ai today to check out what we're launching, beta test new AI products and features, and be among the first to learn how to put AI to work for you.
