A spreadsheet is often the hub of a project—but keeping this sheet up-to-date with deadlines, links, and tasks can be a time-consuming project of its own.

While you can already connect your Excel OneDrive Business account to Zapier, you might want to also connect your personal Excel desktop client as well. Glue42 Excel is a free Excel add-in for the Windows desktop client that allows you to integrate your spreadsheets with Zapier. Once you've installed the Glue42 Excel add-in, it will run in the background so you can create Zaps that seamlessly move data from your other apps in and out of your spreadsheets.

How Glue42 Excel Works with Zapier

Triggers

  • New Worksheet: Triggers when a new worksheet / sheet is added to a workbook / file / spreadsheet.
  • Row Updated in Table: Triggers when a row is updated inside a table.
  • New Row in Table: Triggers when new row is added to a specific table in a sheet / worksheet.
  • Row Updated in Sheet: Triggers when a row is updated.
  • New Row Added in Sheet: Triggers when a new row is added.

Searches

  • Find Row in Table: Finds a row in a specific table. Optionally, create one if none are found.
  • Find Row in Sheet: Finds a row. Optionally, create one if none are found.
  • Find Open Workbook: Checks if a workbook is opened

Actions

  • Create Workbook: Creates a new file / spreadsheet / worksheet.
  • Open Workbook: Opens existing file / spreadsheet / worksheet.
  • Add Row to Table: Adds a new row into a specific table.
  • Update Row in Table: Use a search step before this to get the row to update - we will only update columns you provide, leaving all others untouched.
  • Add Row to Sheet: Adds a new row in a sheet / worksheet.
